This amazing tree survives in the water along the shore of Lake Wanaka, New Zealand.
Sometimes arriving late can be a good thing. My plan was to photograph in the opposite direction, but the sun was already ruining the scene. With the sun peering through the trees and light shining across the river my plans changed.
The plan was to hike up a steep hill opposite Mt. Bachelor for amazing views. Unfortunately the weather had something different in mind as I was pelted with blowing snow. I somehow managed to hold the camera steady enough to pull off this vertical pano.

Lost In Thought
A layer of mist surrounds a section of forest in the Columbia River Gorge. This scene only lasted for a moment before the fog cleared and the sun shined brightly once again.
